Welcome!

This site should have all information you need to use a vape with Distillate or other thick cannabis oils.

Below you'll see some of the content offered, select the option you'd like to learn more about and you'll be redirected to a page all about it. Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about using these devices with thick oils.

This website is dedicated to using cannabis based oils such as CBD, THC, and HHC distillate. Other forms of THC like Resin, Rosin, BHO, etc. will also work but will need to be decarbed in order to get a consistency that will properly wick into the coils.

These devices will also work for other oils such as DMT but I don't have any experience with that so I'm not sure how relevant any of this information is to that use.

You CANNOT use this for essential oils, this is only for oils that are intended to be inhaled, and you need to do your own research to make sure the product you want to use is intended for inhalation. For example products like RSO or Tinctures are NOT meant to be inhaled so you should not attempt to use them.

All coils have cotton in them, including the ceramic and quartz coils as well as 510 carts. The difference between those and normal vape coils is normal coils have a metal wire/mesh coil that directly touches the cotton which has a much higher chance of burning if there are hot spots or if it can't wick fast enough and gives a dry hit.

As long as you're not using unterped distillate then regular coils can work however they have a higher chance of burning and don't last for as many refills as the ceramic/quartz coils do. Higher ohm coils tend to work better as they don't get as hot as quickly as the 0.1-0.3ohm coils that some devices come with, the 0.5-1.0ohm coils tend to have better results.

The reason ceramic/quartz works better is because unlike normal coils these have a layer of ceramic or quartz between the metal wire coil and cotton which distributes the heat much more evenly and even if you get a dry hit, the chance of the cotton getting singed and permanently having a burnt taste is significantly lower than normal coils.

Most coils last at minimum 20g/ml, the flavor starts to degrade around there but is often still good enough to last 30g/ml. Some users are able to get 40-60g/ml from the GT Ccells by using Temperature Control (TC) mode to make sure they never get a dry hit.

When using non-ceramic/quartz coils most get around 10g/ml per coil but can vary depending on if you got dry hits or used too much power.

There are stepped adapters like Lookah's meant for other devices that happen to fit on many tanks and sometimes pods, they can be used to attach to a dab rig or water pipe as well as straight glass pipes that can also cool the vapor without water filtration.

Any tank that uses the Vaporesso GT Ccell coils is basically a portable dab rig. It gives far bigger hits than any other coils but the bigger the hit, the higher chance it is to be harsh without filtration.

For this use case grams (g) and milliliters (ml) are basically interchangeable, there's very little difference between the weight and volume of cannabis concentrates so as long as you stick to one form of measurements it'll be the same for everything else. When using isolates it's better to measure everything by weight (grams) but if no isolates are used then it's often easier to measure by volume (milliliters) as that doesn't depend on having an accurate scale (just accurate eyes to read the syringe/pipette).
